Drawings (Studies)

The Waldrum aquatint etchings and reduction linocuts each began with a drawing. Waldrum experimented with design, color and values at home in his studio. Once he arrived at the print shop, he followed a fully thought-out plan. The process always began with transferring the lines of a drawing, using tracing paper and graphite, to the print block.

Three of the drawings shown above have been archivally framed and are available for sale at Gerald Peters Gallery in Santa Fe New Mexico.
